![]() Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores in town, and your room has a mini fridge and microwave so you're not forced to eat the food on property. I see so many complaints about food prices, but that's just how resorts are. We also had an ice cream cone from the shop downstairs. I normally hate buffets but this one was really clean and well stocked. The only food we ate there was the dinner buffet. Lines for the slides never exceeded 15 minutes even on a busy Saturday. The wave pool isn't super strong but it was fun to swim, and everything was clean. (Elevators at GWL are notoriously crowded because kids use them to play Magiquest.) This was my kid's first time actually finishing Magiquest so they had a lot of fun with that and completed the knighting ceremony. It was pretty close to the grand staircase so it was easy to get up & down the floors. Unfortunately my room request of 2nd floor wasn't able to be accomodated, but that seems to be really hit or miss with my reservations. This time we arrived at 4 pm on a Friday holiday weekend and our room was ready, no wait at all. I once again had a great experience here. Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, Texas is so close to the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport that you can almost see passengers in the windows of landing planes. After an exhausting, frustrating day of travel they were forced to wait even longer until somehow a room was found for them. they were told their room had been given to someone else. When my son's family arrived at 5:30 a.m. I was assured that the room would be held for them. I phoned the Grapevine, Texas location directly and explained the situation. That meant his family of four would not arrive in Grapevine, Texas until 5 a.m. On the day of our arrival, my son's early morning flight from Alaska was canceled. ![]() Our group consisted of three adults and a child and I did not want anyone to attempt to sleep on a sleeper sofa for four nights but had no choice. When I called and spoke to the third Customer Service person, I was told no Family Suite rooms were available for those dates, only a King Luxury Suite. I was traveling and not able to access email until four days before our arrival date. The second Customer Service person corrected the price but for some unknown reason changed my room reservation to the Great Wolf location in Sandusky, Ohio. I called a second time to correct the price. After receiving the confirmation email, I noticed the price was not adjusted for the changed room. I booked a second room, a Standard Family Suite, and then contacted Great Wolf's Reservation Service to do a "change" on my son's room from the Kid Cabin Suite to a Family Suite. It turned out the room they initially booked would not work with all of us coming.
